Huntington County that have existing or potentially innovative programs or projects addressing social determinants of health – factors that, if not addressed, can increase rates of chronic disease while decreasing health and quality of life.
The Huntington County Health Needs Assessment, conducted by Parkview Health every three years, identifies troublesome trends in social determinants among Huntington County residents. The most recent assessment, completed in 2025, cited the county’s major health concerns as:
- Access to mental health care and addiction services
- Child abuse and neglect
- Obesity
Who is eligible?
Entities that have been approved as 501 (c) (3) charitable organizations or are governmental organizations are eligible to apply for Huntington County Healing Partners grants.
